It has been confirmed today through Just Jared that Lady Gaga will team up once again with The Voice mentor Christina Aguilera, and re-release a studio version of her upcoming single “Do What U Want”.

The pair made headlines earlier this month when Christina joined Gaga onstage during the season 5 finale of the smash hit show, and had  many fans wondering if they would team up for a studio version of the track.

The original version of the song features R Kelly rather than Xtina. Gaga and R Kelly recently filmed a very NSFW music video for the track under the direction of Terry Richardson. Richardson previously directed the headline-making music video for Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball”.

You can check out the performance here:

Lady Gaga previously worked with R. Kelly on the original cut of the track.

The brand new version is expected to be released January 1st.
