Chris Pine and Lindsay Lohan starred together in Just My Luck early in the Star Trek actor’s career.

Pine describes this project as “a real cyclone of insanity.”

In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Pine described Lohan’s level of fame at the time as something akin to Beatlemania.

“It was a real cyclone of insanity, like being around The Beatles. It was fascinating to watch, and in hindsight it’s really a distinct moment in someone’s life when you see what’s really wonderful about what we get to do and what’s really dangerous about it.”

Both actors have gone on to bigger projects. Pine’s most recent being Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. He remarks that the paparazzi have appealed less and less as his career wears on. It seems the longer he remains in front of the camera, the less enchanting all of the fame becomes.

“They f**king suck. The light of my flame was really bright after Star Trek, and I had that bizarre convergence of everything’s so intense for about a month, and then it died down. During that time, they’re f**king chasing you, and you’re driving at speeds you shouldn’t be driving at. Thankfully, I don’t really have much of that anymore.”

Lohan’s recent projects include The Canyons (2013), Liz & Dick (2012), and several appearances on TV shows.

Chris Pine’s newest film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, is scheduled to hit US theaters on January 17, 2014, and January 24 in the UK.
