Find Out Who Will Battle It Out For A BAFTA

Award Season is heating up, and now we know who has been nominated for awards at this year’s 2014 BAFTA Film Awards. The Awards will be handed out at a ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House on February 10, and presented by national treasure Stephen Fry.

Harry Potter villainess Helen McCrory and star of The Hobbit Luke Evans announced the nominations this morning in London.

Space epic Gravity leads the pack with a total of 11 nominations including a Best Actress nod for Sandra Bullock and Alfonso Cuaron up for Best Director. American Hustle and Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave have both received 10 nominations.

A special mention is necessary for British treasure Dame Judi Dench as her nomination for Best Actress in Philomena is her 15th BAFTA nomination setting a new record for BAFTA.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards will be televised on BBC One at 9pm with Red Carpet Coverage on BBC Three from 7.30pm. The Awards will also be shown on BBC America.
