Our first look at Switched at Birth’s upcoming Monday episode has teases a taken aback Bay as well as Max Adler holding a bowling ball. Adler’s pirates (his loving and loyal fanbase) have been anticipating the former Glee star’s return to television as the ABC Family’s show newest jock, “Tank,” for a while now. E!Online released a first look at Adler as new jock character in which he amusingly arrives late to class and attempts to befriend Bay, played by the sister of Austin and Ally’s Laura Marano, Vanessa Marano.
E!Online’s sneak peek at Switched at Birth’s winter premiere hints at a budding friendship between Adler and Marano’s character who signed on for a college level art class. Marano as Bay seems a little startled by Tank’s enthusiasm, but we smell a friendship brewing. We saw that little smile.
Adler seems to have the jock role down pat, but never seems to play it exactly the same. As David Karofsky on Glee, Adler was angry, confused and introverted, but seems to be bubbly and optimistic as Tank. The character comes off as friendly and lovable, although seems to take Bay off guard. Only time will tell what will come of Tank on this year’s season of SAB, but we can’t wait to watch the character develop.
Not to mention, we love iconic comedienne Sandra Bernhard as the art teacher, and it turns out ex-Warbler Curt Mega has also landed a role on the show. Looks like this season of Switched at Birth will be packed with fresh talent – we can’t wait.
Catch the winter premiere of Switched at Birth Jan. 13, on ABC FAMILY at 8 p.m
