Jennifer Lopez is back in the Bronx with her new R&B single, “Same Girl.”

It’s expected to be the first single on her upcoming tenth album, Reveal reports.

In the 46-second preview of the music video, Bronx-born Lopez walks through the borough in a fur-lined leather jacket and a New York Yankees baseball cap, passing by graffiti-covered buildings.

In the song, much like her 2002 hit “Jenny from the Block”, she proclaims that she’s still that same girl from the Bronx despite her success and will never forget where she came from, even though some people may think otherwise.

She and R&B superstar Chris Brown wrote “Same Girl” together in March of last year, when Lopez posted a picture of them in the studio with producer Cory Rooney.

If studio photos are any indication, Chris Brown might not be the only collaboration featured on Lopez’s newest album.

She was photographed with “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke and Detroit hip-hop artist Big Sean in studios on two separate occasions in September.

“Same Girl” is her first single since “Live It Up”, featuring Pitbull, dropped last summer.

Unlike the dance singles she’s released in the past couple of years, this may mean her R&B roots are making a comeback.

While fine-tuning her latest music project, Lopez is also returning for her third stint on American Idol.

She’ll be joining fellow judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr for season 13.

The show premieres on Wednesday, January 15 at 7 PM EST on Fox.
