Like many of us, I was glued to the TV watching the Golden Globes last night and tweeting every random thought or opinion that popped into my head, and I was not alone. Nope, as it turns out there was an outrage on Twitter during the Globes that Muppets Most Wanted wasn’t up for any awards… Just kidding. Well, not really.

During the broadcast of the Globes, Muppets Most Wanted debuted a new promo that showed an apparent Twitter war between two fake accounts where they argue the eligibility of the film for the current awards season.

Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais star alongside all your favourite Muppets; Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzy and the rest, as they tour the globe and become embroiled in an international crime plot when Kermit is mistaken for Constantine, a wanted criminal, and is promptly thrown in jail.

Muppets Most Wanted opens across the US on March 21, the UK on March 28 and Australia April 10.
