Joseph Gordon-Levitt is known for collaboration. The young actor designed a website to share videos, but soon turned it into an online production company called HitRECord. There, fans and artists could collaborate together.
Originally, albums were remixed. But, soon there were books, videos, and comics compiled and co-created by hundreds, if not thousands of individuals. These collaborations are still happening today. And yes, each artist is paid for their contribution.
As recently announced, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has taken this massive collaboration idea to a whole new level with HitRecord on TV, which will air on January 18th at 10 PM EST on the new channel Pivot. Fans of Gordon-Levitt can check out the series premiere on Pivot’s website. The show has already been renewed for a second season even though the program hasn’t aired yet.
Schmoyoho, known for songifying the news and dating videos, have join forces with HitRECord to craft a song for the show. The video will be in the second episode and not only features Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but also Tony Danza along with animators, musicians, and dancers. Humor, slap-stick, being fantasy and fantasy also make up the 5:11 video. You can check out the program right below!
