It has being revealed that the hit series Supernatural is set to return for Season 10 and maybe longer if the network producer of CW, Mark Pedowitz has anything to do with it.
Pedowitz told reporters, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, on Wednesday, “As a fan of the show, who’s seen every episode, as long as I’m here and those (ratings) still hold, God bless them.” Adding, “They can go as long as they want.”
The producer later spoke about other shows on the CW network however when asked about the 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries, he said, “I am not allowed to discuss plot points for Julie Plec, but come and watch…You might be surprised. The 100th episode is quite interesting.”
Pedowitz also revealed that no decision has been made on the future of Beauty and the Beast, The Carrie Diaries and Hart of Dixie. When talking about Hart of Dixie he said, “It had a tough time period up against The Voice and Dancing With the Stars. It held up fairly well. We’ll look at what happens come May.”
On the new series The Flash, which will star Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka The Flash, he said, “I’m very bullish on the show. I think what Greg (Berlanti), Andrew (Kreisberg), Geoff (Johns) and Marc (Guggenheim) did introducing The Flash in those two characters was great. So we felt because of that, let’s make it into a bigger pilot, so if we do launch the series, we’ll launch it with a bang, like Arrow.”
According to TV Line, “After the session, Pedowitz revealed that he expects to receive that script for the Supernatural spin-off backdoor pilot later this week.”
