DJ and producer David Guetta has teamed up with singer Skylar Grey for a new single titled ‘Shot Me Down’, a re-working of the 1960s classic ‘Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)’.
He has released a 20 second preview of it online and you can listen to it right here:
Guetta’s albums have a very impressive track record so far. His 2009 album, One Love, which included the hit singles “When Love Takes Over“, “Gettin’ Over You“, and “Sexy Bitch”. He was able to build on that momentum again in 2011 with his follow up album, Nothing but the Beat, which contained the hit singles “Where Them Girls At“, “Little Bad Girl“, “Without You“, “Titanium” and “Turn Me On“.
The original version of Guetta’s new song was released by Cher in 1966, where it peaked at number two in the US and three in the UK and was also famously covered by Nancy Sinatra in the same year.
Guetta’s ‘Shot Me Down’ will be released on Monday, January 20 exclusively via Beatport.
