Drake Bell, of ‘90s comedy Drake & Josh, raised the hopes of a generation last week when he began tweeting about the possibility of a new Drake & Josh movie!

The rumour mill was immediately ablaze, with everyone wondering whether this epic reunion was really happening. In a subsequent Reddit AMA session, Drake addressed the speculation, explaining, “I would LOVE to make this new movie with Josh we just need you guys to go on all social media outlets and make it blow up!!”

It seems Drake is trying to do just that, frequently tweeting pictures of himself and co-star Josh Peck, the hashtags #drakeandjosh and #drake&josh, or simply referencing the potential film.

When asked outright, “So it isn’t being made as of now”, he replied, “being written”.

So get excited ‘90s kids, this reunion is looking promising!

The boys were last seen together in Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh, in 2008. Drake & Josh originally aired for four seasons on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2008, it followed two boys with opposing personalities who become stepbrothers, and their evil little sister Megan, played by Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly). They also featured in a TV film, Drake & Josh Go Hollywood.
