When the Olympic torch relay passed through Voronezh, Russia, it wasn’t all the cheers and excitement that it should have been.

Teenager Pavel Lebedev was forced to the ground and detained by Russian police after displaying a rainbow flag during the relay. Not only were the police involved, but Olympic security officials were in on the take down.

It’s no secret that there will be Olympians from the LGBT community in Sochi; is this the kind of treatment they should be expecting?
