Mary Lambert has had an incredibly impressive year. Her song, “She Keeps Me Warm” was used by Macklemore on his Grammy winning track, “Same Love;” she performed live at the Grammys ceremony while 33 gay and straight couples wed in the aisles while a stunning Queen Latifah officiated; and she fell in love. All-in-all, I think Frank Sinatra would agree that Mary had a “very good year.”
You may recognize Mary’s love, actually. She is the Season 4 runner-up of The Voice (Team Usher), Michelle Chamuel. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Mary opened up about her relationship with Michelle, and, well, gushing ensues.
She’s stunning. She’s really beautiful… she’s very intelligent. I love talking to her. She’s so kind… very loving and expressive, and extremely similar to me in a lot of ways. It’s really incredible to be around her. Her presence is beautiful. [Michelle] looked fantastic. She was in a great blazer and it was really nice to have her there. She’s really supportive.
When she was pressed on what the future may hold for the couple, she made it clear that they really weren’t quite ready to be picking out china patterns: “Hopefully… sometime. But, I think right now, Michelle’s in her career and I’m definitely in my career… I’m very immersed. My work is my love. So, I’m going to continue to do that until things subside a little bit. But yeah, of course, I want to settle down.”
We at PopWrapped certainly like to hear that this insanely talented power-couple will be focusing on their craft; we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
