We’ve been keeping you up to date on the recent scandals surrounding famed writer and director, Woody Allen.

His adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow (whose mother is Mia Farrow) recently published a shocking tell-all in the The New York Times claiming that her father sexually abused her as a child.

Woody finally made a statement calling the allegations “disgraceful and untrue” and now his longtime friend; Barbara Walters is coming to his rescue.

“I have rarely seen a father as sensitive, as loving and as caring as Woody is and Soon-Yi to these two girls. I don’t know about Dylan. I can only tell you what I have seen now,” Walters said on her show, The View, yesterday.

This prompted co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy to respond.

“The thing that makes me question it though Barbara… is she has nothing to gain,” said McCarthy.

Shepherd went on to say, “We’ve heard so many cases of people going, ‘He was the most wonderful person in the world. I would have never thought he would’ve…”

“[There are] many things that go on behind closed doors,” Sherri continued.

Needless to say, there was plenty of estrogen-infused debate about this sensitive topic.
